Seattle to Los Angeles

Wow. Just had the funniest thing happen.
I’m in the airport in Seattle currently. We just finished our radio tour. It was a great success but I am so excited and ready for home! Thanks to all of you that came!
Anyway, I’m waiting in the security line. I am currently wearing a stretch black high waisted skirt that comes to just above my knee, a button up tank top, black zipped up hoodie and a coat.
This woman in her mid 50s eyes me up and down and says, “I hope whatever state you’re going to isn’t cold!” I responded with a big smile, “Nope I’m going to LA, I’m all good! Thanks!”
We continue waiting. She eyes me up and down a few times again. Finally get to the security section where you load the bins. I take off my coat and hoodie and she looks like she just saw someone stabbing an infant, “WHY WOULD YOU DRESS LIKE THAT FOR A FLIGHT???!” I said, “Um because it’s comfortable.” She shook her head with disapproval, “How can you wear something like that, aren’t you ashamed to be so scantily dressed?” I said, “Well obviously not since I wore it. Sorry you’re so offended, but my outfit is hardly an unusual thing to wear.” I then started laughing.
A woman behind me shook her head and laughed, “I just heard what she said to you and I have to tell you that I think what you’re wearing is really cute! I think most would agree.” We had a nice little bonding chuckle together!
After passing through security the older woman still didn’t let up. “you’re far too pretty to be dressed like that.”
“Sorry lady but I hardly think a tank top and knee length skirt is something worthy of such scrutiny and insults!”
She shook her head and stormed off in her high wasted grandma pants with long sleeved fleece shirt and matching fleece vest on top.
The woman behind me and I laughed.
